Here is a link to the page where you can click for some of the photos.( It's in that CSTV format so I couldn't save and paste them on here.)

p.s.- does anybody know how to save the photos from the CSTV format slide-show ?

After building an early lead,a few to's on special teams spotted West Alabama (D2) a few easy points, but we won our home opener in front of 10,483, which is about a thousand short of our record attendance. (About double the size of our total grad/and undergrad enrollment)

We put up some temporary stands behind the endzones for extra space, but we didn't need it cause a few thunderstorms probably kept some of the fans away. All in all a good night for SU football and the new sullivan era.

Congrats, SUgrad. The attendance is great, I wish Wofford could approach that figure. What's the size of your student body?

Seeing how you drew such a crowd against West Alabama, I suppose it wouldn't go too far as to see that record shattered when you face a worthy opponent, especially if you keep winning, no?

Giving up 260 yards rushing is not all that inspiring, but otherwise congrats on the win. Doubling your average attendance from last year is pretty goodxthumbsupx

Pretty good for Samford. Seems to help when they schedule a nearby opponent, especially the D-IIs, and especially for the opener. I suppose interest and attendance probably was up for Samford with the debut of the coach. I'll bet West Alabama brought a pretty good crowd to town; seems they normally do.

From the Samford media guide:

You guys are getting ready to shatter those records in the next couple years when the likes of Appy and GSU come to town. These teams travel well. Not sure how Citadel will travel, as that is a hike for us. We had a great turnout for Elon last year which really surprised me.

Congrats and I'll be visiting in the next year or two.

Hard for me to believe App and GSU will travel better than JSU.

I think the market for Samford football is pretty well tapped out, unless they should start winning conference titles all of a sudden. The move to the SoCon makes that a lot less likely. Any future records will have to be broken by the visiting teams. I have enjoyed visiting Paul Snow West- er, Seibert over the years, and am sad this will be the last trip. Like Cocky, I wonder if the SoCon powers can bring more fans to Homewood than JSU has. If so, they'll have to put up some extra bleachers behind the end zones or something.
