Some insight as Scott Downing prepares his VERY YOUNG team for the season opener against Hawaii. Out of the 87 players on the roster 60 or so are Soph. or younger.

I sure hope Coach Downing can turn it around up there. xthumbsupx

What surprises me about last year's results is how much better UNC played on the road than at home.

Interesting mix of players.

Obviously the move up has created a glut of young players. I wonder though - once those guys are all juniors and seniors, will there be young players to replace them? Is UNC doomed to have only 1 good year every 4?

I would pick the MSU game, on Oct. 27th. UNC/MSU games are usually very close.
