Lafayette has stepped it up this year with the Burger Varsity House as well lights and an upgraded stadium in general. Anyone else have new facilities for this year?

Western Illinois is just about to complete a brand new student section with a south end entrance gateway, concessions, bathrooms, and aluminum bleachers faced with brick. This is replacing wooden stands which were built in 1971. Its design has been really thought out, gone is the hodgepodge of old wooden stands, concession buildings and portapotties behind green screens. The cost, $5,000,000! A $10 million dollar project for the pressbox side has already been developed and is part of the capital campaign which is currently in its "quiet" phase at the present time. Because Hanson is smack dab in the middle of the campus, the decision was finally made to make it a center piece with multiple uses instead of an excuse for a stadium built in 1950 which might be moved out north of campus.

Cal Poly will play this year in newly named Mustang Memorial Field at Alex G. Spanos Stadium (Spanos donated 8 million of the 21.5 million cost for the new west side stands, press box, donar suites and memorial plaza. Seating cap. is 11,750). Cal Poly has plans to replace the east side stands by 2010.
