Another 5-6 season for Delaware (?), I don't think it's going to happen. I think we're looking at an 8-3 record for the Fightn' Blue Hens. xnodx

If they do go 5-6, the Keeler era is over.

He's got us beating UNC...that's not too much of a stretch (although everybody will be pumped for Davis's first game).

But I still don't think we finish 10-1...

And UD at 5-6 is ridiculous.

Can WE now predict something? Let's predict that these "keeper" (cough...cough) predictions WILL be completely off by season's end.

Alot of those just don't make any sense. xreadx

8-3 with 4-0 in conference. That means we would lose to Toledo, W&M, AND Elon, which I just don't see happening. I can see Toledo, and I can see Coastal, but the others I can't see a loss to.

Whoa there, Keep! If you're going to put this out, you must know the drill.

With regard to my comments, W&M has never gone winless in conference...and Hampton is generally viewed as one of the top two teams this year in the MEAC. Based on those two predictions, I'd wager you know very little about the makeup of either team going into the season.

I don't know...

It makes some sense that if you analyze it the top 4 seeds for the playoffs would be-

1- Montana
2- App St
3- UNI
4- McNeese

Really that is not out of the realm of possibility...

It looks to me like he figures we will lose at the Dome (again). Some day we will break that jinx. I think he is underestimating Ill States W-L record. Indiana State winning three games would be quite a resurgence, too.

N Colorado going 0-12 means they will lose to Chadron. If that is the case, Chadron will start clamoring for inclusion into the Big Sky.

Wow. The Big Sky gets three teams in possibly? Maybe this is the year all the "big fluff" naysayers change their tune.

Lots of respect to UMass, UNH gets hosed. I think UNH is on top, UMass is #2, at least in the CAA North. JMU gets the nod, but Towson ain't far behind. Should we be looking for Towson to get an at-large bid? I don't think it's out of the question.

UNI, SIU, and YSU are 1, 2, and 3 respectively. UNI would be my favorite, but those three will mix it up top for sure.

Wofford gets some respect!!! But I think that if Furman stays healthy, they finish #2 behind App.

McNeese gets the nod here. Southland is a little cryptic though. But TxSt isn't finishing 1-10. That was the first thing I noticed out of everything.

What say you AGS?

No whiskey, no drugs.
Pure unbiased root beer.

Ratings are derived from statistical trends and deviations.
No inside knowledge or professional scouting.
But you already knew that.

Calculating predictions is a personal challenge.
Sagarin's reputation is firmly entrenched, but one can hope, eh?

Naturally some picks will be way off the mark
(and quickly brought to argument),
but what about the entire work when
compared to other systems?

Spreadsheets are fun, gives me an excuse to have a website.

Thanks for your non-biased comments.

PS: If this goes beyond 40 posts - definitely not worthy.

Keeper, I think you know my stance on computer rankings... fun to look at but worthless... ESPECIALLLY when a single game hasn't been played yet. Not exactly sure how a computer can predict the final records without any data other than from teams who many players aren't there any more. xconfusedx

That said, it may be fun to have everyone look at your results and pick the playoff field (well, half), mostly because you have an unprecidented number of teams at 9-2. AFAIK, there have NEVER been this many at-large teams at 9-2 or better (9). I'd have to search the playoff records to even find 5 or 6.

It looks to me like he figures we will lose at the Dome (again). Some day we will break that jinx. I think he is underestimating Ill States W-L record. Indiana State winning three games would be quite a resurgence, too.

Looks pretty accurate to me from the YSU stand point. 3 L's is a good bet. I think ILSt and your Salukis should be swithced. Also, I don't think UNI goes undefeated in the GFC xtwocentsx
