Does UNI practice in the dome all the time then?


I see that the UNI Dome has that same magic carpet surface that the Fargodome has.



I hope we both can replace it ASAP!

All preseason drills will be held outside and they will only move into the Dome when the weather is really bad. I think they mix it up (inside & out) during the season but I'm not really sure.

The turf that's in there now was installed in 1992 so yes it's time for replacement.

Very nice. Finally redid it.


I've been in the locker room many times since my last season. It was a recruiting liability for the last 15 years, in my mind. Old, smelly, etc.

Brings back memories of checking out the new freshman tail in the shower!

They practice outside during the season now that most of the teams in conference play on field turf or grass. Plus, its easier on the joints to be outside. But once it starts to get cold or if it rains, there is always the wonders of the climate controlled Dome.

From what I have heard UNI will replace that horrible old turf in the next year or two. Right now they are figuring out what to do about storage of the new stuff. Apparently it takes about 3 times as much space to store as the current stuff...
