I take it there were 35 ballots cast as Indiana State got 35 points.

I take it there were 35 ballots cast as Indiana State got 35 points.

It says right in the article that there were 28 ballots, which adds up with the total number of votes (784 = 28 * 28 ) and 28 = 7+6+5+4+3+2+1, but there are only 26 1st place votes listed. That doesn't add up.

It will be great to be in the Gateway next year, but I don't know about winning the conference. At this point NDSU will more than settle for making the playoffs.

ILSU and YSU must've both gotten 8 rather than the 7 listed.

awww why not? That said I tend to agree with the way the polls look, but that is why the games are played.

Who is really the better team? ISU or YSU? Guess we'll have to wait and see until it is played out on the field, but my gut tells me YSU will finish higher in the Gateway this year due to a favorable schedule, even if ISU has the better team.

Tom Zetts didn't even make pre-season honorable mention, so FlyTown is probably losing it somewhere.

UNI Fans: The road to your GFC goes through Macomb. Ask Capt. Cat or some rookie QB named Warner what Hanson Field is like. Good luck, it is going to be a blood bath this year. Oh, by the way, how did UNI fair against the Necks last year in the Mike Scrifris Dome? :)

The Gateway title runs through the Dome. When you own half of the Gateway Conference titles, come back and make that statement.

I think Zetts will be better this year. However, he has a long way to go to become an All American. Louis Irizarry needs to have a big season IMO.
