Lone question mark on o-line is at center position

This is the second in an eight-part series previewing the Texas State Bobcats position by position.
SAN MARCOS - If Texas State can find the right fit for its center position, keep linemen healthy and develop some depth behind four players with returning experience, the Bobcats could be solid across the offensive front.
Since the second game of the 2004 season, Texas State started one of two players at the center position - Buck Koalenz or Ryne Miller. Unfortunately, both were seniors last fall, leaving the position as a question mark heading into the fall.
Sophomore Alex Luna took virtually every snap with the No. 1 offense in the spring. It was a new position for the Houston native who also saw time on the other side of the football playing defensive line in 2006. Red-shirt freshman Taylor Haese was also expected to compete for the position but an injury kept the Texas State coaching staff from a true evaluation of the second-year player.
