SHSU's Bowers Stadium is in progress of getting a new playing surface. Hopefully will have the final product soon.

We may argue over grass from time to time, but I doubt anyone here will defend the old style turf for anything.

NCAA needs to mandate that all of those be replaced within 5 years.

They're a risk to a player's safety.

I wonder who still has the old style stuff? There will probably come a time when you can't even buy it anymore.

we would have had this done years ago, but money was a factor, as I'm sure it is for other places as well.

It is good we are getting it but I hear there may be a problem with the new surface and the angle of the crown on the field.
