Very nice, but ,of course much too sane an approach to be adopted easily by the PL.

Restucturing the AI to reflect more accurately the academic abilities of Pl applicants within the context of each school and the conference, as well as the Ivies will be a great first step to keep the PL competitive AND must be done whether or not the PL pemits some form athletic merit aid.

To continue to dither about this would be disastrous, but I am concerned that this is exactly what will happen. I hope there will be some progress on this during this summer.
