They fought a good fight against LSU in Death Valley a few years ago.

C’mon Bears...let’s play 12!

I do too but how many schools can say they're playing an exhibition game against a Canadian school in Buffalo......still having a hard time figuring that one out :(

The story goes that a Canadian University (I’m hearing Queens University) has been asking the CAA for the past few seasons to play this game. Nova raised their hand when big $$$ FBS games became scarce. This will lined the athletic departments pockets better than a G5 game from what I’m told. The players are pawns to the $$$ grab imho.

Dumb game for FCS playoff contention purposes, but does it surprise you on how the school views it’s football program? xpeacex

I would love to know how this is possible because that would mean they're making +200k if not more for the game as I'm sure Temple paid Villanova in excess of $200k for their games and Nova only had to provide 3 buses to travel a hour into South Philadelphia as opposed to having to pay for hotel/food and gas/flights if it were a long road trip.

Why would they specifically ask for a CAA team? They could probably draw as well with Ithaca or Gannon.

Ill have to look for Ferrante’s quotes, but he said the game was being treated like a preseason bowl game. Teams will arrive a few days earlier & participate in some scheduled events. Ferrante said the game would be played where the Bills play. I don’t generally make the news. Just report it. Who knows? Dumb game, but so typical of a apathetic athletic department towards football. xpeacex

I'll gladly trade Bucknell for Villanova next year. Diaz is undefeated against the 'Cats. :D

A bit unusual to have OOC games scattered among the conference schedule -- especially Florida! The SEC normally plays their FCS game early then after their conference slate is complete, essentially getting a late-season open date (in most cases...).
