hmmmm...I don't think the NEC is better than the Patriot league and I don't know who the independents are on the top of my head, so I can't agree with this.

I also don't think the Ohio Valley is better than the Southland. I'm pretty sure Jacksonville State in a 2 year span had more OOC playoff wins than the OVC has had in the last 15-20 (that's not a specific claim, but I bet that's approximately true).

I think everyone can agree on the top 3. The Southern is probably 4th, but we really won't know until we schedule better OOC and the SC teams don't cannibalize each other in the playoffs. I think the Southland may have a legitimate claim to the 4th, but who knows.

Actually, UND is included as part of the Big Sky by Sagarin. Therefore, only Hampton and North Alabama are included as independents for these conference rankings.

I realize that having all these inputs might seem to be more accurate, but some of the computer rankings used to get this compisite are seriously flawed. Just click on a couple to see what they have...if you want a real good laugh. I used to refer to the composite, but now just stick to the plain massey and Sagarin. Some of those used in the composite "appear" to be run by some individual team or conf fans. Too much home cooking going on that seriously contradicts reality.

I got a real good review of the Born Power Index from none other than Hensrock!

I kind of like that the composite includes the AGS poll though

May be a statement that other leagues arent very good either. The OVC isnt a good football league and Im not real sure about any league after the first two.

I don't know about other leagues, but I know not winning playoff games isn't a problem in the socon (4 different teams have won playoff games in the last 3 or 4 years), big sky, Southland and even Big South (KSU, CSU, and CCU won playoff games)

The OVC has a special problem that has been overshadowed by a couple good runs by JSU a few years back. Since JSU has regressed and the composition of the people having conversations about FCS has changed to be more MVFC/NDSU-centered, the talk now is how JSU chokes, when JSU's program of the last ~5 years is best in OVC history, even without an NC.

So I don't view the OVC positively because of that context. It's one no one talks about anymore.

Best in history of the OVC would have happened before we joined. Probably EKU back in the day.
I wouldnt view the OVC positively because it sucks. Even if we win a few games in the playoffs it will still suck.
