LOL. exactly. Right now they are overrated in both polls. At least this one is giving SUSU some respect. I still don't see how NDSU can be ahead of the team that just beat them.

They are getting Northern Iowa treatment. No matter how many games they lose, they cannot drop out.

NDSU also beat the 2 teams that beat SDSU. Now we have circular logic. I do have NDSU lower in my poll.

I'd suggest you open your eyes and look at the previous 8 games each team played.

seems the most recent game played was Saturday and I think SDSU won. Their two losses were to two teams that seemed to do ok against NDSU. look at the 3 most recent games and seems like SDSU is doing just as well or better. I would agree with you if say SDSU had lost 4 or 5 games against similar opponents and got a lucky win but that does not look like the case looks like they have played a good month of football and it was not a fluke.

Or you can look at the whole year and see that NDSU is in the same conference and has a better overall and conference record (against almost the exact same conference schedule) despite the head-to-head loss. SDSU is playing great right now but if you've followed them at all earlier this year and over the last few years it never seems to last with them. They can prove me wrong given how tough their last two games are but I'm suspecting that they slip up in one of them... it's just kind of the SDSU way. When things are going well they find ways to make things difficult for themselves.

And if UNI did ok against NDSU then NDSU did ok against SDSU.

I always wonder why teams on individual ballots stacked next to each other don't have the winner on top due to thinking they are so similar...but even then as it gets later in the season you can not just go "Oh, they won so..." just not fair when you have damn near a season full of games to look at.

In the first 4 or 5 weeks yeah it makes a diffference but it means less and less as you go down the road to me.

The STATS poll is a lousy poll done by the media. As much as it may seem otherwise, most of the media have no idea how to accurately evaluate a football team and their ability to play in the postseason.

That being said, this still seems better than the Coaches Poll

So NDSU loses to now #6 SDSU on road and drops to #5, now with same 8-1 record as JSU, SHSU, UCA .. each of whom play cream puff schedules .. yet NDSU drops behind them ?? because they lost more recently ??

Then look at Elon who needed 2 OTs to beat 3-6 Towson at home .. Just not sure how that gets them #7, and NDSU's loss drops them to #5. Seriously ??? No MVFC team deserving to be in top 4 .. really ?

#2 JSU (8-1) has played the #41 SOS and is winning by average score of 32.1 to 16.7 .. 15 point margin against weak schedule

#3 UCA (8-1) has played the #43 SOS and is winning by average score of 36.0 to 19.9 .. 16 point margin against weak schedule

#4 SHSU (8-1) has played the #57 SOS and is winning by average score of 45.3 to 27.2 .. 18 point margin against very weak schedule

#5 NDSU (8-1) has played the #12 SOS and is winning by average score of 40.0 to 12.7 .. 27 point margin against toughest schedule - I guess a quarterfinal run, 5 Nattys, and a semi final run in 7 years doesn't carry as much weight as it used to

#7 Elon (8-1) has played the #22 SOS and is winning by average score of 24.4 to 24.8 ... -0.4 point margin against decent schedule, except that they are barely beating weak teams like: 3-6 Towson by 3 in 2 OT, 3-6 Albany by 6, 5-4 Charleston South by 2, 2-7 Rhode Island by 1, 2-7 W&M by 8 ... aren't top 8 seeds suppose to dominate most weak teams ?? For this, they are 2 spots behind NDSU ?

Those STATS guys are just as lazy and uninformed as the FCP Coaches Poll. AGS polls are clearly more informed group than either of the 2 official polls. Not hard to see, NDSU should still be #2 without doubt.

Maybe the pollsters don't realize this .. but when 2 very good teams play, one will win and one will lose. When the top 4 teams in MVFC all square off in final 3 weeks of season .. there will be 12 wins and there will be 12 losses ... no matter what.

No point in talking about this crap IMO. How in the world is JSU 2? Hope the Gamecocks get a 3 seed and the Kats get a 6 seed in the playoffs so we can beat them in Alabama again, IF they get past Furman, Samford, Kennesaw, ect.
in the second round.

Only poll that matters is the FCS Selection Committee's top 10, STATS has been broken a long time.
