#PennState (https://twitter.com/hashtag/PennState?src=hash) OC Joe Moorhead; #Fordham (https://twitter.com/hashtag/Fordham?src=hash) HC Andrew Breiner figure to be in the mix for #UConn (https://twitter.com/hashtag/UConn?src=hash) HC vacancy with Bob Diaco out.

No chance either take the job. Moorhead can and will do better. He'll get a P5 job.

Breiner would be better off following the Moorhead route. Plus, he needs more than 1 solid year at HC to prove his worth.

UConn seems to be a dead end job.

Agree. Moorhead couldve went from Fordham to UCONN. He took the job at PSU to get a bigger offer, and he should after 2017. Breiner would be a desperation move. He has one year in as a HC and is just doing what Joe did. He needs to prove he can keep bringing in quality recruits and win a few years removed from Moorhead.

Randy Edsall did get a promotion out of Stoors. They have a nice stadium and set-up for a G5 school, and I think it is possible to win there in the AAC, but they need a coach who isn't a complete moron or 65 years old.

Wonder if Rocco will get involved here & leave Delaware holding the bag?

I think UConn will stay in the FBS for their next coach.

Personally I found it fascinating that Breiner's name was mentioned specifically. Moorhead might be looking at another year in money baths at PSU and a P5 job at the end of it, but Breiner going to UConn would be a big promotion for him.

I have to think the Moorhead idea is a non-starter. Makes no sense for him. But Briener could be interesting. He is a young guy who would be looking at a significant pay increase and FBS on his resume. Hasn't proved yet he could do it, but all of these G5 schools are looking for the next P.J. Fleck.

It is also entierly possible the Briener is just biding his time, waiting for Moorehead to get another HC job so he can follow him as OC.

Wow. I had heard yesterday his name was thrown into the mix. That is something that does not happen often. Really, how many college teams have re-hired a coach who left them? I can't think of any at the moment.

Johnny Majors Pitt and John Robinson at USC are the two most well known imo. Also, Bill Walsh at Stanford. I'm sure there's more.....

..and those guys are a long time ago. Obviously, Edsell built up a lot of goodwill in getting the program into the next level and it's like Papa coming home to save it. We had some great games with UConn back in the 1970's, and actually gave them a scare after they went up to BCS/FBS level about 12 years ago in their, then, new stadium.

Petrino at Louisville and Francione at Texas State and Dennis Erickson at Idaho. The 2nd time around is usually much less successful.
