Well, I'm tied for last. Gotta catch up so here we go.

JMU

I went with SHSU in my bracket, but I think that JMU is a better team than Chatty. After watching Chatty come close at Sammy, I think JMU being at home will be enough to put them over the top. Would rather SHSU won cause SDSU would do better in TX with their offense than JMU, but I think the Dukies take it.

SDSU

Really tough to win twice in Fargo in one year, but I like the match up for SDSU with the banged up defense for the Bison and it being indoors, plus the SDSU defense has completely turned it around since the start of the season, so I like the Jacks chances. Plus, nobody is going to really pick SDSU in this game so it should help me catch up to some people.

YSU

At home, with their defense, against a run first and almost no passing attack team is a good matchup for the Guins. I'm also rooting for a all CAA-MVFC semi finals, so theres that as well.

Richmond

My biggest gamble by far, but EWU has seemed to be tailing off on their offensive production recently and Richmond seems to be a team of destiny. Mix in some bad weather in Cheney and this game should be fun.

I think the key to the YSU / Wally match-up comes down to the Penguin's ability to stop the dive. I think their pursuit and defensive ends will shore up the edge well enough to slow the Terriers down, but how they handle the dive will tell the tale. We hit them for over 300 on the ground and it was mostly between the tackles. Our defensive coordinator's refusal to get out of cover zero was part of our undoing... the rest was penalties. YSU got 2 TD's on drives where we had a penalty on 3rd down plays where they should have had to punt... and we had several drives killed by penalties. Wally is more disciplined and probably smart enough to not concede the deep ball all day. It should be a good game.

Another week, another 5 wins. I'd gladly take 5 wins this week too. How, you ask? Whatever, I was a History major.

Sam Houston State at James Madison James Madison I had this one picked at the start of the postseason, including this winner. Having seen a little of both teams in action this postseason, I am not dissuaded from picking the Dukes. Looking forward to some Friday night fireworks in Virginia.

South Dakota State at North Dakota State North Dakota State The rematch. These two played a tight one back in October, so why would the rematch be any different? Down to the wire again, I'm guessing it comes up Bison this time.

Wofford at Youngstown State Youngstown State Winner gets to be the unheralded Cinderella in the semifinals. Both have a pair of good wins to get this far, and it's not an easy choice. I'll take the Penguins, finally coming home after 2 wins on the road.

Richmond at Eastern Washington Eastern Washington Big win for the Spiders, going on the long road to Grand Forks. Now they go on the even longer road to face the other Big Sky champ. Two trips is probably too much. Oh, and EWU is pretty good too.
