Interesting how they are the 4 teams that can reach 7 division I wins. While not the golden number of wins, the SLC can't really get more than two teams in this year IMO. But good luck coming up with another scenario.

Oh that makes sense now. Sorry about that. I was looking at the conference numbers for the conference race. A third team can win the conference, but it will take complete breakdowns by both UCA AND Sammy.

SFA (3-4) at HBU (2-4) - Lumberjacks have not played well and HBU has been much more competitive, but I think SFA will have enough to win this game in Houston.

Nicholls (5-2) at UCA (7-0) - Nicholls has been tough this year and could make this a tough game for UCA, but UCA is playing lights out.

UIW (1-6) at Lamar (3-4) - Somehow Woodard seems to keep his job and should be able to beat UIW, but who knows.

ACU (2-6) at SLU (5-2) - Lions should take this at home.

SHSU (7-0) at NWST (0-7)- After a tough game vs McNeese on Saturday, Kats better beware. Last time SHSU rolled into Turpin Stadium ranked in top 5 they lost 31-28. I think Kats stay focused as this offense should be too much to handle.

Easy my friend. That's just my projection. No one actually agrees with me. Also I can base it on the fact that NW State hasn't won a D1 game this year and their only win is against Kentucky Wesleyan. They also do not move the ball and score and it will be difficult for them to do it against Sam.

You have NO freaking clue about this Bear team...none. Samford was the wake up call...but you'll see soon enough. I've said it about the SFA and SLU games, they could beat us. Not because they were better teams, but because of our deficiencies. The team knows all about those and are working constantly to fix them. But they in NO way are overlooking ANYONE. EVER.

I'm kind of worried about Nicholls big linemen. We have only allowed like 3 sacks all year against the SLC. Plus they have a decent pass coverage defense. This one may be closer than I like. What was Sam's key to winning your 38-21 game against them?

Our D has been missing in 2nd half of games. UIW was only team to stay close in 1st half of games and that had more to do with special teams and turnovers than the D. Hope we clean it up soon.

No surprises here other than HBU. 😳

Nicholls had a shot to beat UCA as i expected, did NOT expect 500 yards of offense by Nicholls.

Super Gatos with a yawner of a 5 score win.

Only downside was Nathan Stewart going down. Watching him on the sidelines and at the half...looks like a hip injury. Hopefully just a bruise. He barely walked over the the "Outdoor NSU Visitors Facility" atbthebhalf. But seemed to be moving much better as the third qtr began but they held him out. NEED HIM/Don't Need him vs UCA. We still have enough weapons to beat UCA at home and save NS for the playoffs.

Eat Em UP Mega Gatos!! 10-0!!

Well Nicholls gave us all they had! Wow that wasnt a bad team at all.

What I'm worried about is UCAs inability to score. Last night we did a fake field goal and left our sure handed WR near the sideline. They didnt cover him so all we had to do was snap it, gently toss it, and he would have easily walked in the end zone. Nope. Snap, toss, and a drop by one of UCAs greatest receivers and a sure handed one who makes catches usually while getting blown up across the middle. 7 points given to us and we missed.
Two more field goals missed equals 6 more points missed. OK. You can say we might not have made those anyway.
Then throughout the game....IN the end zone...our Uncovered WRs DROP wide open passes placed perfectly in their hands! Minus 21 more points.
We back them up to the 3 and they throw a hail mary up the middle, their receiver throws our defender to the ground, waits, catches the ball, and runs it in for the TD. Minus 7 points again.

Folks, while I respect Nicholls, this game wasnt as close as they made it. But it was as close as we allowed it to be. I have never seen our sure handed Wrs drop so many uncontested TDs IN the end zone. EVER!
