I think Idaho pulls one out over the Cats. They feel like they don't belong in FCS will have a chip on their shoulder and I beleive they have a better offense then the cats. Had this game been played the last 6yrs I would have taken the cats but not this year.

What's the future look like for Montana State football? I got to know Coach Ash quite well during my time in Bozeman. He was a great guy, almost too nice imo. Would love to say my Flash score more then 3 points, but I was at their game against YSU last year (48-3 loss) and it was ugly. And Montana has a much better QB then YSU had last year. It's gonna be a long night

CP seems to have a tradition of pounding the ball with running plays on offensive and not much of a passing game. If Nevada goes in prepared to stop the run (and I have no idea how Nevada does against the run game) it could be a long day for CP.

and I am not a betting man (I have lost too many bets).

Was going to but did some quick research and Nevada was pretty good vs. New Mexico and their version of the option so I stayed away. Showed they have a clue how to stop it anyway. Hoping Poly wins, though!

I do think Cal Poly will surprise a few teams/people this season. Although we lost QB Chris Brown the offense is loaded and Dano Graves is a special player and is a better passer.

I also think the defense will be a ton better with the return of coach Payam Saadat (former D coordinator under coach Ellerson - back when Cal Poly produced 3 straight Buck Buchanan winners) and switching back to a 3-4 defense that will bring pressure from all over the field.

Cal Poly held Nevada to 69 yards, 2 first downs and ZERO points in the second half. It is early, but so far I like what I see.
