Just announced today, but not taking office until July next year, it's Dennis Assanis from Stony Brook.

While not mentioned in the press release, according back channel information, he was supposedly supportive of Stony Brook's recent moves to emphasize their athletic programs, so here's hoping he brings that enthusiasm to UD as well.

He's also from an engineering background, so he should fit in well at UD.

That's great news for UD. Selfishly, here's to hoping he doesn't have more of a drive for advancement than the deadbeat jon Alger at JMU. Otherwise you all will move on to greener pastures and we'll be watching another rival and peer leave us in the dust.
