Man, what's up with Penn? We killed them. While I know it was their first game, the change is hard to fathom.

I guess they replaced all the bituminous kids with anthracite.

Yale played pretty well on Saturday.

There was a stretch in the late 1980s through the mid 1990s when the underdog (no matter how heavy) won The Game every year. Been a while since it's happened, though...

Yale, in this century, plays better in Boston than at the Bowl. Except for 2005 (triple OT) and the 4th and 22 game, Harvard has usually won easily in New Haven. The games in Boston have at least been more competitive.

That coincides with a stretch when Harvard was mediocre or worse. Between Harvard's 1987 Ivy title and its 1997 Ivy title, Harvard never finished better than 5-5. So I guess most of the upsets were pulled off by Harvard.

If Yale beats a reeling Princeton squad next week, as I think will happen, Yale will be a real upset pick the following week.

Today's 5Dimes "wisdom":

Harvard -17.5 vs. Penn, o/u 55 (way too generous IMHO)
Dartmouth -18 at Brown, o/u 52
Columbia -7 at Cornell, o/u 35
Princeton -4 vs. Yale, o/u 54

ALL FINAL SCORES:
Penn 35, Harvard 25 - this game blew open the Ivy race... xsmhx
Dartmouth 34, Brown 18 - I'm sure Teevens will retire with a few more Ivy titles to his credit.
Cornell 3, Columbia 0 - another's losing streak ends... xchinscratchx
Yale 35, Princeton 28

A few?

Not sure about this outcome, but he may even have one or two, actually.

Great, great win for Penn over Harvard. I never would have expected the Quakers to contend for the Ivy League title in Ray Priore's first season as head coach after 2014's 2-8 debacle.

Agree. And they won pretty easily yesterday. And, on paper at least, they have the easiest game next week.

Oh, well, it was a good streak while it lasted. Still a chance for a share of the Ivy title, but it will be difficult.

Definitely one more. Crazier things have happened, but I would be shocked if we lose to Princeton.
