Very different directions for Chatty and Jax St after last week's showdown. Jax State has Auburn on the ropes and Chattanooga is floundering at home against Mars Hill.

Plenty of time left in this one, but not a good start for the Mocs.

Going to see Mars Hill next weekend for their home opener. Attendance will probably be about the same.

Looks like they are finally playing like they should be.

Nice crowd UTC. Go Lions!

Who freaking cares about the crowd. Mars Hill was a replacement for Austin Peay, though Mars Hill is a better team the Govs would have still drawn a better crowd than a team nobody's heard of.

JSU should fall in the polls the way we lost today.

Mars Hill had some playmakers on offense and they did play hard, but if our defense plays like it did today, we will be lucky to finish in the middle of the conference. After growing accustomed to solid defense, today's D made me think Rodney Allison was back on the sideline.

I thought JSU was really good (and still do) and we gave up way too many big plays against them, but it was more of the same today. We have given up more plays of 30+ yards in the past two games then we have the past two years.

Chatty wasn't focused on Mars Hill today. I'm sure they were thinking ahead one week.

A win brings citdog out of hiding. I have no idea what he was trying to accomplish above, I doubt he does either.

Congrats to the Bulldogs for showing up the Cats as the pretender conference contender they have been passing themselves off for this year. This was Speir's year, everybody back, and he couldn't get the job done. The Cats will lose to much to graduation, to make much noise next year.

No need to throw in the towel yet. Still early in the season.

We were picked way too low this season- we knew we'd have a better D and the offense would be improved. Just a little improvement on either side of the ball would have been good for 1-2 wins last season. I'm still cautiously optimistic though- it wasnt too long ago that we started out with a win over GSU and a beatdown on ASU, only to fall on our faces.
