Villanova football recruiting 2015: Lancaster Catholic's Keegan Sheedy verbaled to NovaBy Brian Ewart (http://www.sbnation.com/users/Brian%20Ewart)  @Brian_Ewart (http://twitter.com/Brian_Ewart) on Jun 23, 2014, 9:29a 5 (http://www.vuhoops.com/2014/6/23/5834074/villanova-football-recruiting-2015-lancaster-catholics-keegan-sheedy#comments)

It was a good weekend for Villanova football, opening up the 2015 Class with three verbals in the three-day span. Keegan Sheedy is expected to join the team as an offensive lineman.
At 6'5" and 270-pounds, Keegan Sheedy looks a lot like many of the kids that Villanova has turned into excellent offensive linemen. That potential led the coaching staff at Nova to offer him a full-scholarship, and yesterday,, he accepted -- after taking a visit just last week.
He also held offers from Lafayette and Holy Cross, and had taken a visit to Holy Cross recently. He had previously listed Northwestern as his top schoolRivals.com is the most-bullish on Sheedy, rating him as a three-star prospect (http://sports.yahoo.com/bostoncollege/football/recruiting/player-Keegan-Sheedy-155524), likely to play at offensive tackle. 247Sports, meanwhile has him listed as a 2-star recruit (http://247sports.com/Player/Keegan-Sheedy-34487). He will likely be asked to add some bulk once he arrives on the Main Line, to give him the size to compete against some of the CAA's bigger linemen.
"It was a process that went a couple of days," Sheedy told PennLive.com (http://highschoolsports.pennlive.com/news/article/-6596235500463862788/lancaster-catholic-football-standout-keegan-sheedy-commits-to-villanova/). "There wasn't that one moment when it just struck me. I ended up picking Villanova because of its coaching staff, because of its success in the NCAA and because its a great academic school."

Current Villanova center Ross Hall is also a product of Lancaster Catholic.
Sheedy joins both RB Jarrett McClenton (http://www.vuhoops.com/2014/6/20/5829172/football-class-of-2015-villanova-lands-archbishop-wood-rb-jarrett) and DL Bryan White (http://www.vuhoops.com/2014/6/22/5832236/villanova-football-recruiting-2015-wc-henderson-dl-bryan-white-picks) as the third known commitment in Villanova football's Class of 2015.
