(1/6/2015 - Chicago, IL) - Illinois State will play for its first Division I title in football when they face a familiar foe in fellow Missouri Valley Football Conference mate North Dakota State. We'll review how the Redbirds come into this rematch game with a 13-1 record and some the factors and reasons that they are playing in Frisco, Texas for the NCAA Division I title at Toyota Stadium this year.

I think this game could be a great one.

Co-champions of the best conference by far will meet for the first time this season for the national title. One is playing for its first championship and the other is playing for a historic four in a row. They ranked #1 and #2 in the regular season GPI and they both know how to play each other. Seems like a perfect storm.
