I truly hope San Diego's playoff wishes are granted and they have the chance to visit beautiful Missoula, Mt.

Of course you do - it's a 99.999% chance of moving on! Those already in the playoffs wants a USD team in for that reason alone.

what kind of crowd does montana pull in for a thanksgiving weekend? Not sure how many people would travel from San Diego... but i think there would be a good group. Tickets hard to get? Would USD be be allowed so many?

Montana would probably draw 18k or so, give or take 2k either way. You could get tickets. I'm sure they would give you 500 tickets if you needed even that many.

The NCAA would require that USD get a minimum amount of tickets - remember Montana would just be "hosting" the game - it's the NCAA's event.

I thought the number was something like 1,000-2,000 tickets or 10% of capacity, but I may be wrong.

Is "Montana" really not capitalized in the endzones at Wa-Griz?

Don't know what you're lookin' at.
Montana is capitalized (in the endzone & everywhere else).

I think what he might have meant is that it isn't ALL capitalized (all "college block letters").

MONTANA

Correct. It's Montana, and Grizzlies.

I've always thought it a little odd myself.

It was a weird thing to notice, but just seems strange to me. Why not "MONTANA" and "GRIZZLIES" in the EZ? Any other schools like this?

LOL...but why not. ;)

As far as playing USD in the first round, I'm not sure. Nobody knows HOW good they are, because they've really played no one. So, on one hand they will have a tough time getting into the playoffs because of this, but for all we know they could be the best team in I-AA. They could also be only slightly above mediocre, or just a good team.

I'm not sure I want to play USD. Not sure it prepares a team for the second round. xcoffeex xcoffeex xcoffeex xcoffeex xcoffeex
