Bears win 24-21. First (and only) D-1 win this year.

Thankfully, this season is over.

Hey, strike one up for the Bears..congrats! WIU better hope their young Defensive unit comes on ALOT stronger next year because the Leathernecks may not score as many points next season. WIU loses their 3 year starting QB Steve LaFalce (who's thrown for over 6000 yards in his career), AND the Leathernecks lose almost their enitre Offensive line.

It'll be interesting to see how the Gateway goes next season, but for now ...it's almost time for YSU, ISU and SIU to show the nation (via the playoffs) that there's some darn good football is played in the GFC. xsmileyclapx
