I thought that Grambling State V.S. Hampton in week 1 of this season was the best game for I-AA, honestly, how often does a game end on a blocked PAT in overtime? 27-26, Hampton defeats Grambling State, this game was showed nationally on ESPN2 as well.

So in your opinion, what is the best Division I-AA game so far this season?

The New Hampshire-Delaware game on CN8 was a great show!

UMass at Navy on national CSTV was a pretty good demonstration what I-AA could do also.

For pure football excitement the CSU vs Citadel game in week two was one of the best and most exciting games I have ever seen. Two overtime win for the Bucs 38-35.

If you like offensive shootouts... I didn't care too much for it. Not enough defense to fill a VW bug.

I've been really lucky: I was able to watch the Delaware/UNH game AND the Princeton/Harvard game this year. Everyone knows about the Delaware/UNH game, but that Princeton/Harvard game was great theater with two undefeated teams, Princeton going ahead in the 4th quarter, and holding on at the end.

I'd say the Cal Poly v Montana-- not much of a stellar O game but the D was something else. The tide turned on a huge hit and fumble.

UNH vs. UD was the best football game that I have seen since watching the tape of us beating Georgia Southern the next day in the film room. The way that Santos took the UNH team on his back and willed them to victory was simply amazing.

App St. vs. GSU, hands down. Never seen such a good game and been on the losing side. Had a great time afterwards talking to Appy fans. They were estactic they won, we were thrilled we took #1 to 2-OT after this debacle of a season. Absolutely no trash talking what-so-ever(that I saw).

CCU v. Furman

Jerome Simpson single handedly carried the chants to a win I believe he had 9 catches for 159 yards and two TD's.

This was a game for the ages. I have never been so exhausted just WATCHING a football game (and I was sober). This game had everything going for it. The tradition at GSU, the rivalry, the ranked visitor. I too thought everyone (or mostly everyone) behaved during and after the game. The Georgia/Southern reply by the fans on opposite sides of the stadium was AWESOME. I was delighted that ASU won this one. Go APPS!

Blocked or missed? More than you'd think I'd bet. Delaware-Lehigh ended in a missed PAT in OT last year.

One of the most memorable endings took place last week...

Princeton 31, Penn 30 in double OT...missed kicks, blocked kicks, and a 4th down play where Princeton's RB seemed stopped but pitched it back to the QB for a TD...

ASU/GSU has got to be #1...can't beat Dbl OT between two great rivals, one of which is ranked #1 in the polls and the other team is basically playing for program pride/respect as a decided underdog!

The UNH/UD was also a great game...just not as dramatic as the ASU/GSU contest...still, it was the best in the A10 this season.

I wouldn't give it even best in A10... Don't forget the UNH vs Northeastern game where Northeastern showed it had the biggest balls in the conference going for two on the first extra point of OT. (After scoring on a 4th and long).

I don't know which game was the best to this point, but the best game I actually got to see was the UNH/Delaware game. There have been a bunch of good ones this year though.

It was a blocked PAT attempt with Hampton beating Grambling State, I live in Wisconsin, so I never ever get and Division I-AA teams on television, the only I-AA games shown here was Hampton V.S. Grambling State on ESPN2, and next week or this week, Southern V.S. Grambling State in the Bayou Classic on NBC. : smh :

i agree, but not just with this game, the last 3 penn games have all been very entertaining, too bad theyve lost all three.

As far as 1-A vs. 1-AA games, Furman-UNC was a great game. Back and forth shootout all game. UNC 45-42 unfortunately. App-GSU was a heck of a game.

Absolutely true...that was a great game too. Certainly had the drama!
