The trenches. The game within a game, where football contests are either won or lost. For the offensive line, they play every down with little to no recognition. Unlike every other position on the roster, offensive linemen have no stats - other than the `pancake block.' Much like the position itself, the pancake block generally goes unnoticed by the average fan. But ask coaches or players and they won't hesitate to speak of the O-Line's importance.
