Chris Van Horn is in his first season with the SFA coaching staff, handling the responsibility for the 'Jacks defensive tackles. Van Horn joins the SFA staff after spending the past three seasons at the University of New Hampshire where he took over the responsibility of the Wildcat defensive tackles. During his time at UNH, the Wildcats captured the 2011 CAA title and continued their streak of 10-straight NCAA postseason appearances, advancing to the FCS semifinals in 2013.

Prior to his time in Durham, Van Horn spent three seasons at the University of North Carolina, working under head coach Butch Davis as the Tar Heels made three-straight bowl appearances during that span. A native of Fort Wayne, Ind., Van Horn was a first-team All-American at defensive end for St. Francis University, holding the school's all-time record for sacks in a season and career, and spent three seasons as an assistant coach for his alma mater from 2005-07.
