I very surprised with the way we are moving the balls against you guys so far.....
BUT there is a ton of time left. Last week we played a flawless first half and ran up 28 points on Brown. In the second half, we probably had less than 100 yards of total offense and didn't score.

Good Luck

Hey there isn't a video feed of the game online at all, is there?

47 yard FG by URI to go up 10-0 with 7 minutes to go in half.

I just found live stats on JMU's website:

I'm impressed, I'm lucky to get a final score 6 hours after the game on GoRhody.com!!!

Nice completion for URI.

Winston sacks URI QB, he's now in the top 10 all-time of JMU with this sack.

Ram Ball

79 play drive by Rhody culminating in a short TD run by QB Cassidy.

XP blocked... Rhody back up 16-14 with less than 1 minute before halftime.

That missed PAT could be big if it stays this close.

Ram Ball

Absolutely. I'm used to stuff like that though :)

32 yard competion by URI after JMU pinned them inside their own 10 after an opening drive punt

th0m
October 7th, 2006, 02:12 PM
JMU is not doing well covering the pass. I guess we're expecting you guys to run everything...(which isn't a stretch, but c'mon)

TD URI.

23-21 URI, 5:41 to go in the 3rd.

Ram Ball
October 7th, 2006, 02:22 PM
Fake FG URI. Direct snap to RB Joe Casey, who throws a 19 yard pass for 1st down.

Rhody punches it in a few plays later to go up 23-21

I'm usually at every home URI game, and the road games a little closer than JMU. Believe it or not (just based on listening to it) appears that this is our best passing effort in 5+ years.

Game over?

Ram Ball
October 7th, 2006, 02:30 PM
No, still a 1 minute in 3rd Q

Big Defensive stand by URI, stopping the Dukes when they went for it on 4th down..

th0m
October 7th, 2006, 02:34 PM
URI false start on 3rd down, then convert a huge 3rd down.

Ram Ball
October 7th, 2006, 02:35 PM
oh man, thank god!

URI rushes to get a play off before the play clock expires, ill advised pass that was dropped by JMU for a pick.

End of 3Q

JMU is playing far worse than they did against CCU last year.......

We do this crap every year.....sleep walk through games

JMU FINALLY stops a URI 3rd down conversion, by sacking their QB. Now lets start passing, JR is 7/8.

TD JMU! 64yd TD run by Eugene Holloman. Phew, we needed this.

Cassidy (our QB) is hurt - according to our announcers is not going to return - if we even get the ball back...

Ram Ball

JMU punting with 5 minutes to go...

this is going to be interesting!!

Ram Ball

Cassidy returns. Need to go 78 yards for the go ahead TD

Ram Ball

typical Rhody-
Defensive pass interference is offset by URI holding

Ram Ball

2 minutes to go.

JMU forces fumble, recovers it for the TD

th0m

We have like 10 sacks this game alone, and yet somehow URI always seems to convert on 3rd down, or 4th down.

SCRATCH THAT!!!! KEVIN WINSTON GETS A URI FUMBLE!

TD!

35-23 JMU, couple of minutes to go.

Ballgame.

Frustrating to lose a game that we played well enough to win

No complaints about Rhody's effort. Nice win by JMU to fight us off.

JMU2004
October 7th, 2006, 03:11 PM
URI played good, mistake-free ball for 58 minutes..... something to build on

JMU needs to go back to the drawing board on D.....Rhody had 86 offensive plays and 410 yards

th0m
October 7th, 2006, 03:12 PM
Ram Ball, this was also a frustrating game for us to win...

I hope your QB is alright.

Why so little passing on JMU's behalf? URI had about 70 more yards of total O. You outpassed us about 70 yards.

Ram Ball
October 7th, 2006, 03:22 PM
Unfortunately, with the state of URI's football team, I have no choice but to be satisfied with "moral victories."

That's not to take anything away from the Dukes on their victory.

Thanks for the sentiments about our QB. One thing that I can say with certainty is that our QBs are going to be tough kids. In this offense, they take a pounding on nearly every single play, run or pass.

Good luck the rest of the way.

Yeah that's what I noticed, a lot of sacking and hard hits, and that wasn't because our D was so prolific, because it wasn't.
