Another beautiful I-AA Saturday! This week, more conferences step into conference action which means the intensity will continue to be brought up a notch!

The day starts out with a featured game in Richmond visiting New Hampshire. That'll be a huge test for UNH against the Spiders, who took a trip to the I-AA playoffs last year.

Other games of note include the only two teams with records above .500 playing it out in the Southland as Sam Houston St visits Northwestern St. A huge out of conference game will unfold in Statesboro, GA as North Dakota St visits the Eagles of Georgia Southern in a game that can help provide more proof that the GWFC is the top conference in the land according to the GPI.

On the west coast, 5th-ranked Cal Poly visits in-state rival #16 UC-Davis in a game that could go a long way in determining the GWFC title. And Illinois St, ranked #6 in the nation battles a Western Kentucky team that has dominated the series against the Redbirds. The 'Birds are having one helluva year and a marquee win against a team that has stood in their way in the past will be a huge step towards a Gateway title and a potential top four seed in the I-AA playoffs.

Let's have another great week of I-AA! :)

7-6 Richmond as half time approaches. Santos looks impotent against a good defense. Richmond has little offense with freshman QB, should just let Hightower carry ball. Neither team loking like a Top 20 team.

UNH to stay #1 but 2 questions answered today.

1 )Santos nothing special against a good D1 defense...sacked 5 times.

2 ) Richmond not a Top 20 team....QB not good is an understatement

So what...unless UNH schedules the top 11 defenses every year Santos in invalidated? He beat DI-A Northwestern, he beat a ranked Delaware, he beat the # 2 i believe if not # 1 I-AA defense today throwing over 30 passes and having just 6 incompletions!

He did fine, but he was nothing special today. 2 TD, less than 200 yds, sacked 5 times.
Didn't look like any Walter Peyton Award winner today. Lots of completions for an average of 7 yards each.
