UC Davis @ Northern Colorado - both are not very good but I give the nod to the Aggies
Cal Poly @ Montana -The Griz offense has been steady but we will see if they can do it against a better team than UCD.
Sac St @ North Dakota - Sac had the game against NAU and gave it away. UND is struggling so I go with the visitors
Montana St @ Weber State - Weber may push UNC for the worst team in the Big Sky. Cats big in this one
Idaho St @ Northern Arizona -NAU got a wake-up against Sac. They are ready in the dome for the Bengals, who are coming off a win!
Southern Utah @ Eastern Washington - SUU gas has some weapons but nothing will keep them close to the Eags on the road

This week seems pretty straight forward as to who should win. Therefore the biggest risk is teams overlooking a perceived 'easier' opponent.
Montana & Eastern WA both better be prepared. Each is facing teams which have really been up & down this season.
Free coaching advice: Jump out early, break their spirit, and don't let them ever believe they have a chance.

Agreed seems to be a straight forward week, the only thing I am questioning is Montana v. Poly, really seems to be the only game that does not pit a stronger team with a weaker team but have to give the edge to Montana at home and being a little better.

For those who think Sac St beating UND is a sure thing might want to read this....

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Mitch Sutton (http://espn.go.com/college-football/player/_/id/479223/mitch-sutton) ran for three touchdowns to help lead North Dakota over Sacramento State 35-13 on Saturday night as both teams opened Big Sky conference play.

And you know how bad UND's defense was last year.

I agree. No upsets this week!

UC Davis @ Northern Colorado - Tough call here, two pretty bad teams. I think Davis is better though, though I'm not sure why. There are only two teams in the Big Sky who have yet to score 100 points this season - Davis, and Weber. Could be a low scoring slugfest.
Cal Poly @ Montana - Game of the week. Poly's loss to Yale was a bit surprising, and beating Weber doesn't really mean things are back on track. Classic #1 rush offense vs #1 rush defense matchup. I like the Griz at home, and I don't think it'll be as close as some people think.
Sac St @ North Dakota - Sac's defense is good, UND's offense isn't great. I like Sac in this one, even on the road.
Montana St @ Weber State - My how Weber has fallen... plus they haven't won at home against Monana State since 1996. Cats seem to have their number in Ogden, and Weber just looks... bad in every facet.
Idaho St @ Northern Arizona - NAU had to squeek out a victory against Sac to keep their playoff hopes alive, and get a breather with ISU coming into town.
Southern Utah @ Eastern Washington - SUU is a dangerous team, capable of knocking off anyone on any given week. EWU is too tough at home though. I think EWU wins a game that isn't decided until the 4th quarter.

Suutah 13-38 EWU — SUU looks like one of those teams that either wins close or loses big, seldom in-between

Montana St. 49-14 Weber — Will McGhee need to do anything other than hand it off?

Idaho St. 6-44 NAU — Will the Cartwright spark negate NAU's annual swoon?

Cal Poly 24-38 Montana — Hopefully Gregorak is more of a Breske than a Paulson against the option

Davis 17-21 NoCo — One thing the Bears have done reasonably well is stop the run

Sac State 42-39 NoDak — Has the Hornet football program run out of tragic ways to lose yet?

I'm going to guess that no, McGhee won't have to do much other than hand it off. We handled NAU and McGhee only attempted 18 passes (completed just 7) for 72 yards.

52 rushes for 276 yards, 5.3 yards per carry.

I personally don't like seeing Kirk get 27 carries -if we want to go deep into the postseason (not sure we can yet, but IF), we need a healthy backfield, and they are getting some tough carries the last few weeks.

SUU 23-32EWU — EWU jumps out to a big early lead and then lets off the gas too early and SUU makes it look closer.

Montana St. 38-21 Weber — On paper MSU should win this easily. But on occasion MSU plays down to their opponents level and finds a way to lose. (game at NC a few years back comes to mind.)

Idaho St. 17-42NAU — Baughman (spelling?) will probably have a big game. NAU gets ISU to prevent a start to a late season swoon.

Cal Poly 16-52Montana — I think UM wins this big time. UM has been improving with each game this season and will again for this game.

Davis 24-21 NoCo — You see Davis gets a nice road game and shows what may be a good team for next year.

Sac State 28-17 NoDak — UND's lack of defense is too much for their offense to overcome.

Thought I had posted these earlier, but maybe it'll change my luck. 41-21 so far, pretty bad. Here are this week's picks.

CP at UM---The Mustangs are tough and would like nothing better than going into the Grizzlies den and getting a win. But the Grizzlies are just as tough and do not lose at home...UM 31, CP 24.

ISU at NAU---The Bengals have confidence, getting their first DI win last week. The Lumberjacks just want to keep rolling at home...NAU 34, ISU 17.

MSU at WSU---The Wildcats have been just a bit slow all year while the Bobcats have been rolling since McGhee came back...MSU 28, WSU 14.

Sac State at UND---The Hornets gave all they had to win last week, yet came on the losing end. The former Sioux played good ball through three quarters. They will need to finish this one...UND 31, Sac State 28.

SUU at EWU---The Thunderbirds defense has kept them in the last two games while the offense slept. The offense will need to awake for this game, but that may not even be enough...EWU 38, SUU 22.

UCD at UNC---The Aggies were brought back to reality last week by Montana, while the Bears were brought down by Idaho State. Grizzlies are better than the Bengals...UCD 18, UNC 14.

Well now your offense matches up with that bad defense.

Maybe it helps waiting until the last minute. 5-1 this week, only UND messed me up. 46-22 for the year.
