I guess the "glass half full" approach for McNeese fans is to say that the Cowboys can certainly identify corrections that would increase their chances of winning. When I was at the game I told my brother that I think they may have reached 20 penalties. The first box score I saw indicated 19. I honestly don't know if I'd ever previously watched a game during which one team committed that many penalties. There was a lot of other stuff too...but that was the really remarkable one.

Just generally a continuation of what I saw last week against Toledo. A very, very sloppy team.

BUT...at least sloppiness is something that can at least POTENTIALLY be corrected to some extent.

The natives are indeed restless. I heard it in the stands and I'm already seeing it on the McNeese delphi message board.

It was more than just penalties. They fumbled 6 times. I can remember two were botched Center/QB exchanges and one was a botched exchange between the QB and running back. I think maybe I remember third botched Center/QB exchange. I think one of the other two was a guy dropping a kickoff. Can't remember the other one but as of now I can't remember any of them being forced. They only lost one of the six fumbles but it's another factor leading to an inabiltiy to establish and sustain drives.

Really...it was really bad. And it's kind of a characteristic of this team. It's got some pretty good athletes but it is really sloppy. But the up side to that is that there's potential for getting better before conference play.

Everybody I've talked to, including the moderators of the messageboard, have agreed that Saturday night's game was totally unacceptable and everybody from the football coaches to the AD should be held accountable.

So don't be spreading any falsehoods about the McNeese messageboard.
