This is an interesting week. Obviously with the game of the week, but the first two picks are pretty iffy and the SIU @ SDSU matchup should be really good.

USD - MSU Can't be good enough to win on the road.
IlSU - Illinois State is going to be mad and focused.
SDSU - See above
InSU - Has the weapons, puts it together
UNI - UNI plays balanced football, while stifling NDSU on defense, catches NDSU on an off day, leaves the Fargo Dome silent except 500 screaming fans in purple in section 23. NDSU Fans claim they lost because of "cheap shots" and that "Farley was a tool." (come on, time for new material!)

I agree with our OVC poster.

Has Misery St turned it around, or is ILL St just that inept this season? USD - is at home, but don't think that will be enough for the Yotes.

Western has shown that they can win. Ill St hasn't. Biggest mystery team in the FCS. Where did the Redbirds disappear?


SDSU shows the o-line strength missing vs Bison and the same defensive effort shown against the Bison. It's Hobo Day, and Jacks don't lose many Hobo Day games.

Youngstown is another mystery team to this rabbit. Think that they're better than ISU(b).

Until someone beats them, have to go with Bison. I suspect that we'll see that UNI is as one-dimensional a team as SDSU. NDSU does that to teams. At home, advantage Bison. But if anyone beats the Bison before the play-offs, UNI will be it.

Ugly week for me last week, 2-4 brings my season tally to 35-6.

Missouri St @ South Dakota - I still cringe picking the Bears but they seemed to have finally figured something out and USD has fallen back to the bottom of the MVFC barrel.
Western Illinois @ Illinois St - I believe in WIU, they look like the most improved team in the conference this year and the Redbirds are without a doubt the most regressed.
Southern Illinois @ South Dakota St - I think the Jacks violated a cardinal rule about not getting too low after a loss last week but their Hobo Day crowd and fesitivities gets them back on track as Lennon's seat gets hotter.
Youngstown St @ Indiana St - These teams are headed in opposite directions after a big road win for the Penguins and an inexplicable loss to an inferior TTU team for the Sycs last week.
Northern Iowa @ North Dakota St - The game of the year in the MVFC. I think the NDSU defense limits David Johnson on the ground and the pass rush is able to get more pressure than Kollmorgen has seen to date this year which will be the difference in a 7-10 point win for NDSU.

I'm a little late to the party, but...

Going with all the MVFC teams that are not in the MVC:

South Dakota - Missouri State is not for real. Not believing this for a second. Plus SD at home.
Western Illinois - Toughest game for me. I just don't have confidence in Illinois St., even at home.
South Dakota St. - They've got to prove they belong in the top 10. You can't lose this game, especially at home. Don't wanna start 0-2.
Youngstown St. - Ind St. is OK, but Youngstown is a potential playoff team. They absolutely cannot possibly think about losing outside the top 3 teams.
North Dakota St. - I love UNI, but NDSU is not going to lose. Far and away the best team in the nation. Even if I thought UNI was a sure #2, NDSU likely won't lose at home.
