Man, I can't wait to talk to DT about this after all the trash Gramblingites talked.

I thought he was supposed to lead the Tigers back to the "promised land", and that Broadway couldn't hold a candle to him.

only Doug believed that, wonder what that means for DJ, especially with Frank Rivers gone.

There's a Gram fan on the MFZ site who was slobbin Dougie Fresh hard for years. We should probably send someone to check on him. xlolx

WHo fires a coach two games into the season though? There has to be something else. Anybody watching the press conference?

Who fires a coach after spring practice? After last year and Doug being forced to sue to get paid, it was surprising enough that he made to game one.

WOW. There has to be something that just happened. Why fire him now?

That was a coordinator. At least we fired our coach before the first game. *shrug*

"Shine" on the sidelines bringing back the Wyattbone offense. I know a couple of guys who would have simultaneous heart attacks.

Maybe they'll go drag Ole Daggum David Bennett out of retirement.

“There wasn’t a lot of conversation. I told him ‘OK’ and I was gone,” Williams said.

Grambling probably wanted a new starter at QB and Doug couldn't bring himself to bench his kid.

Grambling: What a disfunctional place. Does Williams' son start in the next game, or is he gone too?

I wonder if the NCAA would allow him a hardship year if the he is forced to leave (or claims he was forced to leave).

If they're smart they'll start someone else, but he'll probably be gone too.

I don't see how anyone would even touch the Grambling job right now. Zero job stability, and they fail to provide the proper support to their coaches. I wouldn't leave a good situation where I am currently at to take a job where I could get fired inside of two seasons, IDC how much money you throw at me. (even at $100k vs $200k doesn't matter if you only get the $200k for one year.)

Rod Broadway didn't seem to have any trouble at Grambling. This thing is a puzzler as it sounds like they just didn't give Doug a proper chance. I hope the son lands on his feet somewhere.

Grambling once had a proud tradition mostly before wholesale integration. They used to fill the NFL ranks with graduates of Grambling.

Doug went 1-10 last year and stubbornly stuck with his son at QB, lost the back up who may have been better than him. Pissed off most of the fanbase, many of whom didn't want him back. As for the last sentance, I'll keep quiet for now.
