Look for an article on Wagner after its season-opening win and a view of what to expect in the PFL from the prospective of Jacksonville, Marist and others in the next day or so. We will also release players of the week and our freshman of the week on Wednesday.

Another note: CSJ was asked to help with the Foootball Writer's Association of America on its selection of North Dakota State as the national Division I team of the week. Mr. C appeared on Mark Packer's College Football Nation program on Tuesday afternoon to announce that award.

Thanks for the refresher course on the App State win in the first seven graphs. Totally appropriate for a story about 8 FCS schools contemporaneously knocking off FBS and BCS schools in the opening week of the season. If not for your story, I'm sure the App State win would be expunged from the collective FCS memory...

In fact, it left me hungry for more about the App State-Michigan contest. When might you post a retrospective, like, say, and entire game story of the event with sidebar interviews with players and coaches?

Certainly this is the perfect time for that, no??

If you prefer NDSU all the time on the CSJ front page, let me know. xlolx Seriously, as cool as EWU and NDSU's wins were, I needed some orange to break things up, and SHSU was #3 xlolx

I guess reading comprehension does not come easily to you. Trying reading the whole article and maybe you will understand the context of the lead. Of course, this comes from the same guy who is still trying to defend Lance Armstrong's drug issue.

My reading comprehension is just fine...You got your point across in the first graph. The rest was simply an exhibition of your total fealty to App State ;)

How long after the Michigan game did you get your App State lower back tattoo?

Only you could turn something like this into something to gripe about. If you don't like a column just move along and don't ruin things for everyone else. Go read another story about your hero Lance Armstrong.

Hey FormerPoke:
In about 4 months you'll never hear another word about App State again...
They will disappear into the bottomless void of FBS nothingness

(problem solved)

Actually, you will hear about App State again. When an FCS team rides a bus into Boone and KICKS THEIR ASS! :)

I actually LIKE App State...I just think the total infatuation was a little much on this particular weekend. App coulda been worked into the story differently. Unless you stuck through it for the first 200 words, you didn't actually get to the 8 wins, ya know?? Reading this article was like reading the stuff on Sports Network a few years back. It kinda gave me a flashback! ;)

LOL, get thin-skinned much?

As to "ruining it" for everybody else, I'm not the guy who let his clear and utter lack of objectivity cloud the story he wrote, nor did I elect to take the first personal jab. I'm sorry you're not objective enough to see that. I guess that doesn't come as any surprise. If you were objective, your laborious to read App State lede would have been scaled differently.

As an aside, have you ever considered applying for the App SID job? I think you'd bring a natural enthusiasm for the job! ;)

Again, don't worry. Nobody's forgotten about App's win over Michigan. And FCS's great weekend doesn't take anything away from it.

AGS is acting a little weird and I can't see who leaves feedback. I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that the negative rep was from you, LOL...

That's quite the pissy little temper you've got there. It's cute!
