View Full Version : Stony Brook @ New Hampshire

UNHWildCats
September 16th, 2006, 10:14 AM
Coming off the 34-17 smackdown of Northwestern, New Hampshire opens it's 2006 home schedule with Stony Brook. David Ball has a shot at the record books today should he catch 3 touchdown passes to tie Jerry Rice, 4 will set the division I record.

Folks, expect points today, early and often.

Consider this your game thread ;)

if he caught 4 against UNI you guys woulda been home:P but he was close he had 3, 24-21 score ;) 4 isnt out of the question for him, but it depends how fast the get going. if there up by 30 at half i dont think we'll see ball and santos in the second half.

Got back from the UNH-Stony game and caught the last 7 minutes or so of UMass-Villanova, so I'm just now getting a chance to comment - haven't read through the entire thread yet, so apologies if anything I say here has already been mentioned. Actually, there isn't too much to say - the final score says a lot. The offense got it done on the ground for most of the day - Stony was double and triple teaming Ball, so his stat line wasn't all that great. But it did open up a lot of room on the ground - Chris Ward and Chad Kackert both got a lot of touches in the first half (Ward had 2 rushing TDs). The first team was on the bench in the second half.

Good crowd today - not sure of the official attendance #s but the home side was packed, the endzone bleachers were full, and the visitors side was probably 75% full, and lots of people in SRO on the hill behind the endzone.

They did what they were expected to do today - that bodes well. We need to work on the center-QB exchange, as Ricky and Hank were picking the ball off the ground far too much, but besides that there weren't too many mistakes to talk about.

I'm not overlooking Dartmouth (although I guess it doesn't really matter if I am!), but I'm really looking forward to the Delaware game in a couple of weeks.
