I have a feeling that Villanova might surprise UMass up on the Main line today. UMass is coming off a tough loss at Navy and the Minutemen probably won't be real excited about playing an 0-2 Nova team that should be desparate for a win. This a perfect setup for a typical A10 upset. If Nova doesn't at least make this one a very competitive game... it may be a real long season for Mr Talley's boys.

The game can be seen is on CN8 TV and Internet video streaming at 1pm today.

I am with you on this one. I predicted a Nova upset on the Nova board..... I think they looked good against UCF and Lehigh is always a good team and plays Nova well also so I don't see Nova as being bad this year.... UMass is good but they often seem to be inconsistent.

My gut says Minutemen by 6.

I agree that this is a trap game for UMass. Last year after a big effort against Army we went out and played our flatest game of the year against Hofstra.

Hope UMass can avoid the upset.

Delaware seemed to have some hangovers after playing Navy. In '03 the Hens looked terrible for 3 quarters against Maine with only some late heroics pulling it out.

Baylark finally punches it into the endzone... we have been driving today but just not finishing drives. Very poor first for the minutemen. I give Nova alot of credit for coming out on fire today.

7-7 tie

If we dont wake up its going to be a long day. Nova drives down without resistance and scores again. This is not the same defense I watched the last two weeks. Way too many mistakes. Nova 14-7

Not a good way to start the second half missing two fgs. Our heads are not in the game this week. I dont know why we are playing so poorly.

Game over... UMass wins 31-21. Not pretty by any means but a win, on the road in the A10, is a win. We will take it any way it comes. Good game Nova. Great effort.

I think UMass will make the playoffs this year, and it looks like Villanova is going to be better than most people had predicted.

Congrats UMass - good win today. When I was at the UNH-Stony Brook game, they announced the score when it was 17-14, and a lot of us were really surprised. I made it back and was able to catch the last 7 minutes or so of your game, and it looks like you were able to really shut Nova down in the second half. Your D did a nice job keeping them from gaining momentum down the stretch.

If we both keep taking care of business, our game in Durham in November might decide the A-10 North.

Coach Brown stated he went with mainly a base D in the second half and they had no answer for that. They got their big plays when we did some blitz zone packages. Now we get Stony Brook. Hope you didnt beat up on them too much.

Well, we did. But I don't expect you guys will have too many problems. I haven't seen a box score, but when they had some success on offense, it was through the air. They had a couple of big passing plays, but they didn't really ever get anything going on offense all day.

AFTER WHAT I SAW TODAY YOU WILL ABSOLUTELY CRUSH THIS TEAM, THEY ARE TOTALLY INEPT ON OFFENSE!

Im not really worried bout Stony Brook. The only way the game is close is if we come out looking worse then we did today. Today we went through the motions for our win.
