Has there been a thread on this already?

The Top 5 this week:
JMU at App State (23,814)
SDSU at Montana (23,468)
MVSU at Southern (22,653)
West Chester at Delaware (22,329)
CCSU at Georgia Southern (20,178)

Some great numbers.

Albany came in with 5020 for our tilt with Fordham, important as we move up and prep for our new facility. Bad thing is, we laid an egg, so we will see what happens for the next home game. If we had won, I would have guessed 7-8k for the next game. I will be happy if we hold out 5.

Biggest crowd ever to watch a CCSU football game. Thanks GSU, great job, great fans :hurray:

You need to experience a game at Delaware Stadium.
Any Great Dane fans making the trip?

Good gate for the Hens vs a D-2. of course West Chester isn't a typical D-2 in that
1. They're a pretty decent team lately and
2. They're local

I'm biased as I got my Master's at West Chester and still love the place. great folks.

I planned on it...and I am heartbroken I cannot. Unfortunately, there was a massive accident at the Big Dig in Boston...and I am helping to make sure the FEDS are happy.

SUCKS BIG TIME!

Lehigh @ Villanova - 9200+ in the stands

That's a pretty good number for a game at Villanova Stadium. I'd put the Lehigh crowd at 3500+ (not bad, but not as good as I hoped for) Still, it was a decent showing.

In our first game back featuring our renovated home side, we brought in a little over 15,000. Not bad considering we were going head-to-head with the South Carolina-Georgia game just an hour and a half up the road. Charleston Southern brought a good number of fans and their band. It was a 2-OT thriller that was over when we failed to score in the 2nd overtime.
Good game plan by CSU, and a great comeback try by our Bulldogs.

The paper said at The Citadel Charleston Southern game there was 15,000 in attendance. However, I was a little disappointed in the Citadel crowd. I thought, since it's there first game with the stadium rennovations, more Citadel fans would show up than actually did.

I for one am very surprised that Southern Utah is averaging over 6,000 per game in their first two home games. You'd think that fact alone would mean 2-3 SUU fans on the AGS board.

Truth be told, I went to a Bucknell/Holy Cross game about 15 years ago in Lewisburg - they weren't really football people back then either.

8,200 for Northeastern - Holy Cross in Worcester.

Was a beautiful day, and anyone who wanted to do the "Jesuit Doubleheader" and see NU-HC and BC-Clemson had a beautiful day to do so.

By the way, the administration at HC does a real good job with pre-game tailgating - but kicking people out of the lots as they're walking back to their cars after the game - they say you have an hour - but that's an hour from when the game ends.

Looking forward for my trip to Fargo this weekend.

there isn't anything good to say about that game, but the local writer who covers Bucknell, Tom Housenick, summed things up pretty well:

"It was free admission to Saturday night's Patriot League opener featuring host Bucknell and Lafayette.

Bison fans got exactly what they paid for."

I wasn't there, but everthing I've heard was great. Coach Mac has a lot of friends down there from his 2 years with GSU and our Univ. President was a Dean at GSU. Even good (and fair) coverage from the local press.

Except for gametime (when the crowd is supposed to be hostile), they were great. Although since we had the lead for all but 3 minutes, it was easier to keep them somewhat quiet. The staff at GSU was also first class, just by listening to our guys in the booth doing the broadcast.

Like I said we'll be rooting for GSU the rest of the year!

Sadly, I think the rain before the game may have scared off a few of the less hardcore fans at EKU vs. WKU...resulting in only 19,800 compared to 22,700 the last time the game was in Richmond. It also probably didn't help that UK had a home game less than 30 minutes away that was going on at the same time.

I've been to every Bucknell-Lehigh game in Lewisburg since '89 and never once has there been more Bison fans than Lehigh fans. Usually the game is played at the end of the season and Bucknell is out of it by then but their support is still dreadful.

I'm looking forward to a big crowd at Goodman on Saturday. The weather is suppose to be really nice and the win over 'Nova has brought the juice back. I think 13,000 is a realistic expectation.

Not a good thing with the loss.

Worried there won't be 5,000 at the Southern Utah game Saturday.

Reported attendance was around 6,600...Even still, for a no-admission charge that isn't very good. Then, again, BU has become a 'basketball ' school in the psyche of he students. Very poor support.

Yeah, I agree that there were about 3500-4,000 out of the 9200 were on the 'good guys' side of the field. I think the fact it was on TV and Villanova is not fan friendly from an accessibility point of view, kept many at home watching on the tube.
We had to walk a very long distance, and my parents (almost in their 80's) were not thrilled with the trek--and the lousey unlit routes one had to walk.
I would expect a crowd in the realm of 12,000-13000+ is possible if good weather. Not sure how well Princeton 'travels'--they're only a little over an hour away so you'd think they'd be able to have a couple thousand in the stands.

I was amazed at the turn out for the game. Two words, Rhett Bomar. Most of the fans there arn't in the loop like we are and probably thought he was going to play.

Either way, if this keeps up we may actually sell out a few games this season!

BFPu, I dont think it was just that. I think the university is really doing a good job marketing to the students and they are showing up. Days of suitcase college are out the door, especially with all the new buildings and dorms being built.

Liberty managed 11,423 against a DII opponent (week 1 drew 8500 in a monsoon against yet another D II). Everyone excited about the new "Rocco Era" .

Expecting to pull in SRO crowds closer to 14 or 15k for homecoming and the conf games this year if we keep on winning.

Our attendance sucked. It was only 12,127 because of the freaking fair weather fans. The facts that it rained on and off all day, LSU was playing on TV, and we were playing a very very bad NAIA team (well they were Div II when we scheduled them) all contributed to the poor turnout.

Maybe next home game against S. Dakota St. will be better.

I first heard rumours that NDSU's game on Saturday against Northeastern was getting close to a 19,000 sellout, but them someone from the Bisonville board said someone at the ticket office told them it wasn't even close to being sold out, and that the attendance should be right around the level of the 9/2 game against Concordia-St. Paul, which was 15,609. I think it may be somewhat more than the CSP game, because we'll probably get a lot of walk-up and the student attendance should be better than expected (though probably not as much as the CSP game).

I'm expecting something a little over 16,000.
