This uses 6 computer ratings and TSN and AGS. With the same formula used by the BCS. I am at work right now but later I will link a description of the formula.

As much as I dislike the coaches polls, you probably should replace the AGS poll with the Coaches poll. THe AGS poll doesn't actually mean anything outside of AGS.

Actually, the AGS poll was used in the GPI until last year. (or the year before...I'm getting old and it was before your time...) It was 3 polls + 5 of 7 computer ranking (dropping the highest & lowest).

Once Ralph left the AGS...he disbanded the poll's use in the GPI. Another class move....but the GPI is **** anyway.

I have been debating that quite a bit recently. I may go do that and see how much of a difference it makes this week.

I think this is the last one with AGS https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=0At2w-dbZUZ2gdG9wYVVDd1ZhNkR2R0xfZTVfY3lucHc&hl=en&output=html

After that I saw even less correlation with reality, as it now has 14.3% more weight by computers (5/7, 5/8)

NCAA's GPI top 5 are close to that with EWU, Ga. Southern, NDSU, Montana State, Cal Poly.

NCAA's dropping of AGS from its GPI sounds like a hint that GPI and its elements are a very minor part of the committee's decision process. I've always gathered that it was cuz the basketball committee barely uses its RPI.

You're getting to be less funny and more weird. Go back to the funny.
