there are teams that i can justify being #1 aside from ndsu, but msu is not among them. cal poly at 15 is downright offensive, considering they are one of the few that I think are worthy of a potential #1 vote.

why aren't people outraged at towson at 17 with only 2 wins, one of which was over a bad st. francis?

Eh, the poll has been worse but it certainly isn't good:

Too High-
Lehigh at #10, really? Name a good win?
Towson
Delaware - how is UD ranked?

Too Low-
Cal Poly, how in god's name are they behind a slew of teams (criminal at 15)
Albany - time to be ranked people

All wins are good wins. Fordham, Liberty and Princeton are decent teams and winning at Liberty is not an easy task. No they haven't "blown people away" but then who's measuring style points?

It amuses me that the writers that follow the sport think that the Hawks are top 10, the coaches think they are top 10, but around here it is almost offensive to some to think that way.

They were a quarterfinalist last year after eliminating the CAA champ. They eliminated the MVFC champion the year before. That earns the respect of voters for a program, and they will stay in the top 10-15 until they prove otherwise that they don't belong there by losing. You may all hate close wins, but any win is a good win and any loss is a bad loss.

I don't think to poll is outrageous, but I would have Stony Brook higher, Poly higher, Albany in and Delaware out.

What I don't get is their schedule was actually worse last year. What did they do last year to earn anything?

Last years schedule was a bit stronger, UNH vs CCSU and a stronger Liberty team and Yale instead of Columbia. And it was the win of Towson that impacted end of year ranking.

If we can continue to win and wind up 10-1 with our only loss being Syracuse I would be happy. Cant afford any losses in Big South play.

Liberty was 2-3 after five games last year and are 1-4 this season. Lehigh beat them by 3 last year and by 2 season. Monmouth, Fordham and Princeton are all considerably better so far.
