Think this could be a tough one for Colgate, but I believe Colgate has a solid chance to win.

TOUCHDOWN! DeCiocco threw it to O'Connell (some kind of trick play?) from 20 yards out, Burgess' PAT is up and GOOD!

Chillis takes the handoff from 21 yards out, TOUCHDOWN for the Danes. PAT is GOOD

Drive was extended by a Personal Foul penalty against the Raiders. So far an early missed FG from Kenny is the difference

Livestats has slowed down, but it appears Albany blocked a punt which Colgate covered in the end zone for a SAFETY

Halftime

Colgate missed a 37 yard FG attempt with 14 seconds left. 2 blocked punts so far are the big difference. Defense giving up some big gains, but also has a pick to stop another Dane drive. Gotta get the offense going, especially the passing game. McCarney is 10-19 so far, need to be more consistent (how much is him and how much the receivers I certainly couldn't say)

The NEC is showing well so far...

Monmouth gave Lehigh all they could handle, Duquesne giving ODU fits and Albany winning at half....

McCarney picked off at the Albany 3, and the Danes proceed to drive the length of the field, Osbourne capping it off with a 4 yard TOUCHDOWN run. PAT is up and GOOD

Livestats has stopped updating, but ESPN has called it

Colgate 23

Final

Defense needs work. Or better players. Or something. Offense might be potent, but they need more consistency. The 2 blocked punts were killer, though we certainly had chances to get back into the game. Good luck to Albany, always been a fan of their program.

Now, how exactly does one get to Brookings, South Dakota.... xreadx

Teams had identical offensive statistics... TOP, turnovers, yards, plays... but Albany had 315 yards rushing. I guess this game confirms what we suspected about Colgate: offensive horses, but no defense.

TVR,

South Dakota is in Vermillion which is about 90 miles south of Brookings.

I saw SD against Montana today, solid team. They have a lot of big guys but aren't exceptional fast. I watched most of the game with the Montana St coach.
