Saw this on another board of the top 25 football entrance http://sports.yahoo.com/news/top-25-team-entrances-college-football-200000511--ncaaf.html anyway, was wondering what everyone thought who had good entrances. Maybe post video of your entrance, then maybe after a month we can make a top 25 list.

Those gave me goosebumps!!!!

They should take a little page from Virginia Tech and have the cheerleaders before the music starts (Thunderstruck) hold up a sign on one end of the stadium saying...."Let's Go" and cheerleaders on the other side of the stadium have....."Bison". Do that for a minute or two before the music starts....would be awesome.

Whether you are seeing it for the 1st time or the 100th time, it always stirs the soul. Yahoo should be ashamed to rank "running through the T" 20th. That is laughable. Tennessee has the greatest pregame traditions in the country and 10 or 15 years ago most would have agreed.

I'm not sure what Chattanooga was doing with this absurdly long pause when everyone thought the team was about to come out, but it ruined it.

They (IMO) have the best entrance in college football. NDSU does have a really good one. UND is supposed to have a new entrance so we will wait to see if it even compares to NDSU (I doubt it though but there is always hope.)

Dat is CRAZY! How they gonna run through a T when I don't see no letters? Who do you think you fooling? I know letters when I see them and I see a lot of L's next to Tennessee football records. They must be hoping for some of them tie games. UTC would have had some if dat coach would have kicked some points instead of trying to score 2 with that scrubbing bubbles quarterback.

I've never seen it but SFA's entrance where a captain goes out and drives an axe into a block of wood at midfield prior to the team coming out sounds pretty cool.

Of course, in my opinion, everyone else in the FCS is fighting for the #2 entrance :D

Here's another one to add to the videos mgbison already listed:

I'll believe there is a better entrance than Virginia Tech when I see it. Seeing the entire crowd from students to 70 year-olds jump around to "Enter Sandman" was the one enjoyable moment I had before the beating commenced. Incredible atmosphere.

That may be the loudest moment of any sports venue. It hurt my ears and it was hard to stand for a moment.

I like the new animated entrace videos that JMU does now. Each animation while the same is tailored to the team that they are playing that day. Example, when JMU plays Richmond, Duke Dog slings the spider out of the stadium using his own web. Sorry I cannot embed the video, but here is a link to it and other entrance videos http://www.25kstrong.com/mediaPortal/player.dbml?id=873587 One the team enters the field, the team and fans are met with a round of fireworks. Here is another video,

I think I will record the whole thing next week vs St. Francis.

I do like theirs but I've never seen it in person. Virginia Tech is the best I've seen first-hand but I've got a lot of FSU friends and I hope to make it to Doak for a game at some point.

There's 2 I've seen live that give me chills, FSU (and I hate FSU) and Clemson (thats just a personal thing because I was a huge Clemson fan before I really knew why I was there). I love App's but there's no tradition behind it.

Tradition at SIU dictates a walk through the tailgate area with the band on the way to the stadium.

The entrance into the stadium probably looks like a lot of other schools.

How does people jumping up and down to mettalica even make the list? What does it have to do with passion, pageantry, or tradition of college football. It is weak and lame.

everything is impressive about game day at FSU. Went to a game 4 years ago, first thing you notice is the huge park right in front of the stadium, families having lunch on the grasss, kids running around, very family oriented. Then you notice all the great statues surronding the stadium, beautiful.

It's the loudest jumping you'll ever hear. I not a Mettalica fan by any means, but it's not like you can even hear the music over the hulabaloo. The scale and noise level are ALARMING. I've been to other big time BCS/NFL stadium before. No other has come close. Not that you don't spew ignorance with every post, but you really have no idea what you're talking about.

Not necessarily loudest but most involved crowd. The players' entrance is supposed to get the home crowd amped up and ready for the game so the players can feed off their energy. I've never seen a home crowd more excited for the entrance than in Blacksburg.

Do you mean more excited to Jump up and down? That has nothing to do with football, the school, or anything else. Some college football traditions are steeped in legendary tradition, and are just flat out more inventive. That is simply lame.

More excited to see their team take the field, at least more visibly excited. Videos and TV do not do it justice, it is a great intro.

Yeah cuz we all know that Florida State football players used to all be actual Seminole Indians. They ran around the field and threw flaming spears at opponents.

The atmosphere at the VT entrance is absolutely electric. It invigorates the fans and the players for the game while making opponents soil themselves. That is it's purpose and it does it better than any I've seen. Unlike you, I won't pass judgment on any I haven't seen. Youtube is not even close to being capable of doing any football atmosphere justice.

This.

I can speak from personal experience that the Fargodome atmosphere is crazy when the lights go out. You can ask the GSU or Lehigh folks that came for the playoffs last year what that was like.

I have a feeling LSU is louder for a big game like Alabama or Auburn. Only been to LSU when they were playing the Mountaineers so I don't think we got the full experience. Would love to make it back for a big deal SEC opponent.

My trips to FSU have all been to see Clemson so they were really jacked for those games.

I've been to big LSU games (Auburn, Georgia, Alabama) and the are loud. But it can get loud for the smaller games (I've been to games vs. Houston, Kentucky) especially pregame. The crowd will leave early doing blowouts.

I assure you that 80,000+ fans screaming when Chief Osceola plants a flaming spear into the 50 yard line on game day is quite the entrance, as apposed to 60,000 hokies "jumping around" to a song that has been worn out by football teams (from high school to professional)

The best entrance is Southern Cal. The team is led out by Tommy Trojan riding Traveler, the white horse, he then circles the stadium at a gallop then buries his sword at the goal line.

Agreed, but it is oh so sweet when your team commences the beating... Not many teams in all of NCAA football can say they got that experience. And you guys know what I mean after bringing down the Big House.

I like NDSU's videos, but I am not sure about the rest of the entrance experience. I think App St. is one of the all around best in FCS because their fans are just obnoxious, followed closely by the Griz, NDSU, JMU, and a few others. Certainly the HBCU's have their place on the list too.
