I thought this would be a good way to get to know the future of d-1aa football if you want to you can post whatever you want I mainly just want to know who your best recruit is in your opinion but you can post all of your team's recruits if you want. The one thing I prefer you don't post is anything about transfers.Thanx

Montana-
I'll start the player that i think our best is would be WR Tony Kazmierczak he is a very good player and I had the chance to watch him in a couple games in high school when I still lived out there.

Fell free to watch him or any of the other recruits the U got.

Tony's a good one. I'd tie him with Rob Overton as the two we stole from I-A.

In a close second is QB Andrew Selle that just starred for Montana in the Montana/North Dakota All Star game. 15-23, 265 yards, 3 TD's, 0 ints.

Our two best 2006 pickups IMO. They played together in high school and decided to both come to Sam Houston. These two kids are supposed to be the real deal..

It's a crap shoot with new recruits, some don't pan out, injuries or bad grades. At Montana usually the top 3-4 work out 90% of the time and become stars or good contributors. So if we're talking your best recruits you'll probably be rooting for them in a couple years.

I'll tell you in three or four years who our best recruit this past recruiting season was. Too early to tell, yet.

Colgate's best recruits IMO (video page of all recruits (http://www.gocolgateraiders.com/sidebar.asp?id=570&path=football)):

4. Greg Hadley (http://www.gocolgateraiders.com/roster.asp?playerid=722&sport=8&path=football) LB 5'11' 210 lbs.
5. Ty Spencer (http://www.gocolgateraiders.com/roster.asp?playerid=737&sport=8&path=football) DE 6'2" 218 lbs (when he puts on 20-30 lbs he will be a mean rush end)

Diamond in the rough: Uzi Idah (http://www.gocolgateraiders.com/roster.asp?playerid=724&sport=8&path=football) DB 5'10" 190 lbs.

Lafayette's top impact freshmen

LB Spencer Brown (Mitchell HS FL, Navy Prep), 6-1, 220
FB Matt Ferber (Sachem East HS NY), 6-1, 215
LB Keith Heaney (Middletown South HS NJ), 6-3, 220
QB Josh Jones (Nova HS FL), 6-1, 190
TB DeAndre' Morrow (Myrtle Beach Prep SC), 5-10, 180 (kick/punt returner ?)

lots of returning depth at OL, DL and DB, we might not get a feel for the freshmen for a couple years

Late addition:

I forgot about the hogs! Kyle Poinsett (http://www.gocolgateraiders.com/roster.asp?playerid=731&sport=8&path=football) might start this year IMO. He would be recruit #2 in my list behind Simonds.

I agree with Doc. We will wait a few years and see who is still around. I always look at the new recruits and get excited, then I put the list in my desk and forget about them.

We had some solid recruits last spring, but if I had to choose one, I guess I would choose:

Jeff Miller, OL (6-5/264/Fr/Pocatello, ID--Highland)
First team all-conference as a senior, earning second team all-state kudos... offensive player of the week twice as a senior... offensive line MVP at Boise State football camp last summer... helped lead Highland to state championship game last year, and the Rams are currently 12-1 in basketball... throws the shot and discus... chosen for the Idaho All-Star Game. MSU Coach Mike Kramer: “A classic left tackle. Jeff has great balance and flexibility, extra long arms, and the kind of consistent attitude that great players possess. He’s part of the next generation of offensive line dominance at Montana State, and has the physical ability and strength to be a three- or four-year starter.”

This kid just sounds like a steal to me. We had some quality recruits, but I see him making the biggest impact, hopefully another Bolton type player.

Other ones I'm excited about are Kevin Ah-Hi, LB, Mark Desin QB/Athlete, Jordan Rasmusses QB and Bubba Pugh LB.
