Sam Houston State head football coach Willie Fritz has been named as NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision Coach of the Year for 2011 by American Football Monthly, the nation's leading publication for football coaches.

You do realize that JuCo trophies are the equivalent of D3, and not D2, right? Unless of course they took place more than 40 years ago when D2 and D3 never existed. I highly doubt your coach is 60+ years old.

Congrats to coach Fritz! Hard to find a guy more deserving considering the changing of style to get the most of his talent. Good job to him.
