The Portland State Vikings wrapped up their best season in five years with a 7-4 record in 2011. PSU went 5-3 in the Big Sky Conference and came within one game of serious consideration for the NCAA Playoffs. The Vikings entered the national rankings at 25th on Nov. 14, their first appearance in more than four years. PSU improved from 2-9 in 2010 to 7-4 in 2011. The five-game improvement made it one of the most improved teams in the nation. The Vikings were a consensus number seven pick in preseason Big Sky Conference polling, but ended up in third place.

They also play in just about the coolest little down town Portland Sports Arena EVER...!!
I caught a game there earlier this year while I was in Portland on business and just loved the venue
It's right in down town Portland - and I mean right down town - the seating is amazing, as good as any football seating I've attended
You're right on the field and the whole place is newly renovated and just a blast to hang out in a watch a game...

I highly recommend it for FCS football
